4th stole the show on this album, every beat is flawless to me.
Only problem I had with this album was 9th Prince ruining almost everything he was on lol
You clearly have a speech impediment, why would you try to rap faster than you can speak?! lol
He got better with every album (by calming the fuck down) and was dope by Fear Love and War but christ he was bad on here lol
Literally hyperventilating on every verse. His flow in 97' is the exact same flow as Holocaust in 2010.
Like Hollow said, Dom Pachino and Killa Sin pretty much stole the show. Half the reason I like this album more than their other two is because Sin was on most of the songs. I love Beretta 9's verses and Islord's delivery is ill to me, even if he doesn't rhyme half the time. Too bad he didn't have more verses on this one. Shogun does his thing
Overall, it's not the quality of the verses or the way the beats are crafted, it's that overall atmosphere that puts me right back in 97' every time I listen to it. And that's half of what defines a classic album for me
9/10 (i'd say 10 but 9th prince kinda shit the bed lol)

Definately a classic. It got all the elements it takes to be called a classic. Bangin and not over-produced beats, raw rhymes that actually make sense, hungry spitters with remarkable timing, man.

My only but with this album is that the group lack personality per member. Don't get me wrong after 3 albums more each emcee got solidify on his angle. But back then, I had a hard time pointing out who was on the mic. I think the wu really pushed a lot of the individual member finger print. From method man, to ODB, each emcee on 36 chambers was very distinct on their approach. However with Killarmy, they call come hard as a unit, and individuality gets eroded.

The beats on this album are stellar. They create such a cohesive atmosphere... While most of the lyrics are interesting some of the flows sound amateurish on the first album but I can get past that. Still one of my fav Killa Beez albums.
Strangely, I remember their first and second album and only playing it like 3 times, putting them away for years. Only about two years ago I got full on in Killarmy mode (with their solo albums too).
Hope this will happen with Sunz of Man too, cuz till this day their albums don't really grab me.

undeniably classic album
funny though the first time I heard it I had no idea who the MCs were and the beats sounded so different to me that I didn't know what to think until after several more spins. I distinctly remember it being a very alien experience my first listen probably more so than any other album.
I got the SUPER RARE Instrumental LP 12' of this album. I listen to the beats more than the vocal album.
