October Beat Battle - Uncle Bronze Wants You!!

this month is gonna be a battle that i saw done in the past that turned out ill

so heres whats gonna happen.

its a break and sample battle, that means imma give yall a drum break and a sample you gotta use. i dont care how you do it up but you gotta use those drums and that sample given.

i assume yall are familiar with chopping drums breaks, so it shouldnt an issue for most.

the meat and potatoes of the beat has to be whats provided. vocal clips and basslines can be added

I wanted to join in and I was ok with the drums, but the music sample was just too bland. The only usable part was the beginning with the strings and I sat down with it for a couple of minutes, but I couldn't really make anything of it. It sounded a bit like Mumm Ra's flip. Catx' beat is dope as fuck, props.

I'm taking a pass on this one.

i kinda ran into that too - there wasn't much variation in them either.

but i didnt use any of the drum break - just drum kits

I don't see why no one used the drums though, they were good enough. Maybe some kickdrum layering, but they were fine. The main sample was just one instrument playing 2 or 3 chords, nothing too exciting. I like the concept of the battle though.
