Who knows why he made the decision to get on the soaps, it does sound unusual for a talented MC to sideline his own career for that no matter how you look at it though.

I remember a mixtape he put out a few years ago where he was rhyming over mainstream beats and designing his songs toward radio appeal. He admitted that was his direction on a episode of Conspiracy Worldwide Radio and it was a mistake.

I'm thinking the soap opera thing might have been part of career turmoil at the time. It says a lot about the industry and how the best talents can still have a hard time living off their craft.
