I have strong doubts that the first Thanksgiving even remotely resembled the 'history' I was told in second grade. But considering that (when it comes to holidays) mainstream America's traditions tend to be over-eating, shopping, or getting drunk, I suppose it's a miracle that the concept of giving thanks even surfaces at all... To hear someone say 'Happy Turkey Day' makes me sad because they have nothing to be thankful for and no one to whom to be thankful. So please, enjoy your family and friends, be safe and give THANKS! I said happy turkey day on facebook. in school they talk about how to the pilgrims n the indians came together n made nice, but we all know how that really turned out. it's a damn shame how since the beginning of time all men know how to do is try and conquer and destroy 1 another. all I know is we celebrate family coming together and appreciating that we can do this at least once a year... everyday above ground is a good day.
