Basically just saying I'd like to hear something new and not some obvious ATCQ or PR & CL. Smooth songs =)

yeah funky dl is one of those guys that makes music the way you wanna hear it, all his beats sound like PR and Tribe joints, and hes a decent rapper.

Nah, although people do make that mistake because he did do some work with Guru, I can imagine that poor guy got alot of death threats from confused people during that whole controversy, lol

I like how the Jazz Hip Hop style is starting to come back as more and more dedicated artists use the music to bring an original sound. Good choices by everyone above, especially Funky DL & Moka Only.

Miles & 'Trane by PVD and John Robinson

A Tribute To De La by J.Rawls & The Liquid Crystal Project

Supa Heath by K-Def, a replay of the Jazz sample for Nas' One Love

and that latest Cormega album could be looked at as Jazz/Hip Hop since he's using the live band element.

Jazz Liberatorz are dope as hell, especially their album "Clin D'Oeil". They're French producers, but they get a lot of dope American emcees on their records. I'm too lazy to post other tracks of theirs but both of their albums are great, so check them out.

moka only sounds dope too. i'm not sure why this style of rap disappeared about 1997, well i mean puffy obviously and then the dust settled and its been all about soul beats mostly for the last 10 years. theres really only been a few artists sticking to the jazz style.
