was more surprise by this album then any other, before i listened to it i had only thought of royce as the mainstream rapper who did rock city. but this album is ill, the mood is dark and every track is a banger, nice lyrically to.
Shit, I'm wearin' my Death Is Certain shirt right now, I'm the iron on master. I fuckin' LOVE this album, I was obsessed with this shit last year, shit I still am, I still probably listen to it once a week, I love every track on there, I give it a 10.
In the world I see, you're stalking elk through the damp canyon forest around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty carpool lane of some abandoned superhighway.
9/10 good album no doubt
10!!!!! i bumped this album for the loooooongeeeeest time, its really good....one of my favs
I actually won this album in a contest and I was surprised... its one of my favorites albums that I got and ''Hip Hop'' is a classic track (classic profuction by Premo too)
a good 8/10 !!!
R.I.P. Ol' Dirty
Rock City for me was a huge let down, so when this came along I was very very shocked, but pleasantly surprised at the same time. I can say without any doubt it's Royce's strongest full album, although I don't think any one song on it matches what Premo gave him with 'Boom'
The rhymes on here are amazing at times, it's far from flawless because sometimes the production is a little boring, but the rhymes throughout(although especially on Today, Hip Hop & I and Me) are of a very high standard.
Today is the ten year anniversary of Death Is Certain, Royce's melancholy sophomore effort.
