Question Question for those with winrar

    peace and respect to all

okay currently i have been trying to burn music files from winrar on to a disk. here's the thing i successfully download three albums however the problem comes in whenever i try to download recently the disk reads as mixed media disc which only is playable on the computer or a gaming console what am i doing wrong?

also when i insert into my drive it reads as a dvdrom (think one of the reason this is because i try to burn a dvd yesterday)

Insert the mixed media disc in your computer. Close out the AutoPlay window, then click "Start," "Computer," and double-click the CD/DVD icon. A window loads displaying all the media files saved on the disc.

Click-and-drag the saved files from the open window onto the desktop; then eject the CD/DVD.

Insert a blank disc into the DVD burner, and load the DVD burning software you have on the computer (typically this is Roxio, Ulead or Nero).

Select the disc format you want to create (audio CD or video CD/DVD); then click-and-drag the media files you want to copy into the program window, making sure to add only one type of file. For example, if you're making an audio disc, copy only MP3 files. Select "Burn," and wait for the CD/DVD burner to write the disc.

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to copy other media formats on separate discs. When you're finished, insert one of the discs in the Xbox 360. The gaming system will now read and play the media.

I have to look at your computer and see whats the problem son. I can't find any solution to your problem on a forum. Maybe you should take it to the geek squad and let them fix it for you.

sounds like you are storing the files in the CD instead of burning them on there.

That is why the disc turns into a "Data Disc"

    Do you use media player?

Try burning the songs through media player

"what im saying is that to albums i burn dont read as mixed media discs"

????????? what?? this sentence makes no sense

    can you rephrase this?

Are you saying some of the cd you burn end up being Data discs and some end up being audio discs?

It has nothing to do with how you extract the files.

The problem is they way you are burning the files on to the disc

If iyou take a bunch of Mp3's and drag and drop them to the cd, the cd becomes a data disc - only readable by other computer

If you take a bunch of mp3s and burn them properly using media player or itunes etc, then the disc becomes a audio cd that can be played on audio systems
