i feel like ross only raps about the similar topics as dudes like roc marciano and raekwon in the broadest sense. even when hes on a track w nas or rae or whoever he just sounds out of place to me. add in the fact he usually gets overshadowed.
as an mc hes ok as far as technical aspects but i don't see the appeal.
i don't really fuck with or respect either of them besides for their work ethics and business acumen, but i think ross is a better mc than lil wayne, although i enjoy waynes shit more.
it is strange eminem isn't on that list but hasn't he not dropped shit this year?

rick ross has a stop-and-go, nursery rhyme style of rapping that's just wack, much like lil wayne. the only thing I can give him credit for is keeping the gangsta rap sub-genre in the mainstream, which some people said died out years ago. but that can't be since 2009's most acclaimed rap record was CL2, grammy or not

I dont listen to any of these cats either, I only got 2 Rick Ross joints in play & thats mainly because it was produced by ALC & the other is the Molasses joint. The rest of them, not my type of music.
