first joint from the beatnuts/alkaholiks callabo.
pretty banging cut.. i think it works well as a blend of both artists respective styles. eager to hear more from the album or EP or whatever they are planning. on their website there's a video of them in the studio where a crazy track is playing too

r.i.p. Johan D, Kaddu, Ricke a.k.a. "Slick Rick" and the rest of the fallen soldiers - you'll never be forgotten!
I'm happy with what I hear for this 1st single. This particular sound takes me back to the days when I was first discovering both groups on WKCR 89.9 Stretch & Bobbito, it's got that raw demo type of feel.
Nice track, looking foward to this project.
Beatnuts & Tha Alkaholiks are mad underrated there first 3 albums were classic HIP HOP.
inb4 lick nuts
Ive been looking forward to this album for a while. Tha Liks and Beatnuts are two of my favorite groups and this colab is a match made in heaven.
Both groups have been known to be great "party rappers", but Ive always felt both groups have been awesome when the beats get dark and murky.
This track brings that murky feeling and I think its dope. I like how JuJu sounds 4am in the morning drunk over this beat, but I hope his style on this track is not like this on the whole album when some of the production will probably more up paced.
Tash and J-Ro have never changed, and thats fine with me. Ive always loved their lyrics and it sounds like they havent missed a beat.
Im not really impressed with Psycho Les on here though. Sounds like he is dropping F-bombs just for the sake of cursing and I dont think he really brought much here, just seemed to go through the motions. Im willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though and just hope he doesnt sound this lazy on every track.
This will be a day 1 purchase for me and I will mos definitely check out the tour this summer. I just hope they have a Toronto date.
Also very much hoping for at least 1, if not 2 appearances from Fashion. But Im not going to hold my breath.
This was pretty much all I could think of when I saw that name.
That had to be intentional, both of these groups utilize a humorous approach with their music and presentation.
I didn't even realize what this was until entering the thread.
Now that I know, I'll be interested in the end result.
dope, really lookin for this to come out soon.
