Fresh off the heels of signing a deal with New York based Blazetrak, Shade Sheist returned online this month to release several leaks from his upcoming solo album, to the surprise of his music fans across the globe. It was just a year ago that Shade released the single “Queen” featuring R&B songstress LaToiya Williams and in the meantime he has remained active by penning several upcoming singles for other popular international artists in many different genres.

Earlier this month, Shade took to Twitter and Facebook to leak a sample of a new song titled “CPTxLBCxING,” also referred to as “Clippin.” The sample features familiar collaborator N.U.N.E. while the full-length version also includes Techniec, whom is the ‘LBC’ referenced in the song’s title. In just weeks, the Dr. Dre hook-inspired sample registered over twenty thousand free downloads. Prior to this early preview, Shade also treated his fans to another G-Funk inspired sample titled “I Still Luv Her” which can be found on YouTube.

Shade Sheist is widely regarded for his work with Nate Dogg, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Mariah Carey and Bone Thugs n Harmony. He was also one of the only western solo artists whose debut single went #1 on several Billboard charts in mutiple countries. His most popular single, “Where I Wanna Be,” was an instant #1 hit in the Summer of 2000 and remained perched at the top of the charts for a record 20+ weeks. The following year, the single resurfaced and found it’s way to the Top 20 on the UK Billboard charts before doing the same in other continents. His debut album, “Informal Introduction,” would go on to produce several more Top 10 Billboard singles while his 2nd solo effort, 2005′s “Before The Waitin Before The Hatin” produced a Top 20 single featuring Mariah Carey and the late Nate Dogg. In 2010, Shade returned with a group lp, “Movin Units” co-starring N.U.N.E.

Longevity holds a unique value and Shade Sheist plans to cash out on it when he releases 2 upcoming projects: “P.N.L.A: The Exit Strategy,” his full-length solo LP and “Black Operations,” a free EP that he plans to release in the near future but won’t indulge any information about. While fans continue to wait in anticipation, Shade Sheist promises the wait will be worth it.
