seriously though With the action genre on the downslide, and the superhero genre still rising, the next gen of action stars looks like shit, what with getting Taylor Laughtner and Justin Timberlake in action-based roles.

Jeremy Renner for sure but some reason I don't really see Hardy as an action star despite his massive frame. He generally does more drama, more of a method actor. Saying that though my opinion might change after I see him in the new Mad Max movie.

Law Abiding Citizen wasn't my thing, and I didn't even bother with Gamer......otherwise I've seen him in 2-3 chick flicks (at the wife's request) and all I could picture was him screaming "THIS IS SPAAAARTAAAAAA!"

Seagal would be a great bad guy, I liked him in Machete as the antagonist.
Snipes as well.....reuniting Stallone and Snipes as good guy vs bad guy like Demolition Man would be dope.
Travolta would be a good bad guy, I think he was decent in Face Off
