PS3:

Resistance: Fall of Man - An old one, but the storyline and gameplay is phenomenal.....really cool storyling, and it gets better with the 2nd one; haven't played the 3rd one yet that was released not too long ago, but it's an awesome first-person shooter.

Aside from this series, I'd strongly recommend God of War.......ALL OF THEM.......the best game series ever made IMO......cool storyline, sick graphics and gameplay, and not too hard to learn....it's got a little of everything: cool story, sick fighting, challenging puzzles, etc....really awesome series.....not what you're looking for per-say, but I'd say it's VERY worthwhile checking out....

Series in "Chronological" Order:

God of War: Chains of Olympus
God of War I
God of War: Ghost of Sparta
God of War II
God of War III

and the new one God of War: Ascension will be another prequel released next summer (2013)......I know I'm hyping the shit out of this game, but seriously, it's fucking bad-ass...you can cop God of War I and II as a double pack for something like, $23.99, and it was initially released on the PS2 platform, so the graphics aren't "all that" but they converted it to PS3 with Blue-Ray definition, so it would be compatible for PS3's.....same goes for Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta....both were solely on the PSP, but converted it to PS3; they come in a double pack as well for the same price I think.....but God of War III is fucking a-m-a-z-i-n-g for quality.....graphics and everything else...

It's a PS exclusive as well, so if you got an Xbox you're out of luck....

Otherwise, if you have an Xbox (which I don't own) I'd suggest the Gears of War series.....it's a 3rd person shooter (if you're not familiar) and again, sick ass storyline and really fun to play....check out youtube clips to get a better idea....if you got a buddy to play along with you, the story-mode with "co-op" is pretty sick as well.

Last suggestion I'd make is the new Batman game series.......I have recently bought Batman: Arkham Asylum, and am about to play it once I've finished with the new Mortal Kombat game (which is a sick ass game, and strongly recommend trying out if you like fighting games) I'm gonna jump on this and check it out as I've heard nuthin but good things....again not the style of game you mentioned you're looking for, but heard nuthin but good things, especially since the sequel, "Batman: Arkham City" I heard is fucking phenomenal, and it's basically playing Grand Theft Auto in an open atmosphere, only you're Batman in the process, with cool storylines.......plus if you get Batman: Arkham Asylum, they've released it recenty on their "Greatest hits" collection, and you can cop it for only $15.99, and it comes with the "already downloaded" add-on where you can play as the Joker instead of Batman, which I thought was pretty sick....I also heard it's better to play the first game in the Batman series (Arkham Asylum) before trying out ARkham City, as you get a better idea of the game....


my suggestions at least, otherwise I've heard Bio Shock is pretty ill, though I've never played that series either...

I've been on a nostalgia trip with MAME as far as gaming is concerned.

Darksiders 2 looks pretty fucking fresh, though.

I haven't read any reviews or anything.
