James Brown:
Let's get together, and get some land
grow our food, just like the man
save our money, do like the mob
put up a fight, on the job
Now, I'm white and I'm an agrarian, so let me get that out of the way. Was slavery unjust? Of course. But what is the alternative to a nation of farmers? Industrialized everything, wage slavery, unchecked vice and idleness.
There's a reason we're Eurocentric. Whereas the Pharaohs and Emperors counted on slave labor for agriculture and public works, Ancient Greece was founded on small farms. This led to an active citizenry in the polis, which led to democracy, which led to the phalanx (since every family was a stakeholder in the prospering of the polis, defense was a duty), which led to the ideal we've been gnawing on for 2000 years. Freedom.
Since FDR, the trend has been towards numbering cogs in the machine, massive public works and wars, and a populace once again subsisting on a steady diet of bread and circuses. As the government gets bigger, it encroaches on responsibilities once assumed by the community: Schooling (babysitting), police (ATFDEAICEFBI, etc), commerce (abuse of the interstate commerce law).
Now everyone talking stimulus is just saying: hey, we'll buy up a bunch of shit on credit and then things will be better! It doesn't take an economic genius to figure out that true wealth only comes from SAVING and then INVESTING SAVINGS.
Anyway, if you want a revolutionary black leader, I imagine he'd say get the fuck away from cities and government and you will prosper. Everything else is just identity politics.
