    Exclusive: The label known for creating the ultimate fan experience with Hip Hop classics takes aim on Nas' 1994 debut "Illmatic" next.

    Get On Down Records has exclusively announced to HipHopDX that its next release will be the Nas Illmatic Premium Collection. Sign up for the boutique label's newsletter to receive early information about this exciting release, and to be able to order it before it goes on sale to the general public: only Get On Down members will have the first chance to purchase. Get On Down will be revealing more details about this deluxe reissue, including the release date, very soon. HipHopDX was provided with the following image of the album packaging.

    In the past, Get On Down has licensed classic Hip Hop, Jazz and Funk albums, and provided fans additional rare and unheard recordings, promotional items and artist liner notes. There is no word at this time of what the the re-packaging of Nas' 1994 debut album will include.

    Heralded Hip Hop classic, Illmatic boasts production from Large Professor, DJ Premier and Q-Tip, and features an early appearance from AZ.

    Definitely going to buy this. Get On Down's reissues have all been great so far.

    I never heard of Get On Down Records, what do they do? They release old, remastered albums again? It's only that?

    Yes, it's only that. They're re-releasing classic albums from the 90s. They already did Return To The 36 Chambers, OBFCL, Liquid Swords & Ironman.

    Classic album reissues >>> new trash released by shitty label

    When was this? I'm assuming they're not available anymore...fuck all of the extra shit, I just want to hear them remastered.

    So far got them all except for the purple cassette.

    I think 36 Chambers will be added in time but I hope (don't think it's going to happen) Wu-Tang Forever will finally get the remastered reissue it deserves. I like the originals the most but an album like Forever deserves a reissue.
