These guys are in their mid 40's and have been innovating the game for nearly 20 years, there's literally nothing left for them to do as a group anymore and that's why this shit will sound mediocre because the hunger won't be there, the motivation won't be there. Maybe, just maybe their "exit" as a group from the game will have enough motivation to put out a banger that will rate as their third best LP ever but that's as good as we'll get, if that.
IDK why so many of yall are desperate to have them recreate that 97 sounding shit when you already own the 97 sounding shit that actually dropped in 97.
Wu should have called it a day as a group after Iron Flag - which they pretty much did - and let it be done with.
