In reality pre-order don't do shit if you don't go within the 24 hours. The assholes at Gamestop will sell the item regardless. Management tell their employees to sell everything, if some random dude comes with the money and they only have the reserved consoles, they will sell those to whoever comes first.

Aren't you allowed to put money down as a reserve at Gamestop then?
To reserve a copy, you have to pay the amount of $ they ask for pre-ordering, but after the day of release they just sell the stuff to whoever comes first. Pre-orders servers more to let them know an estimate of how much a game will sell. Normally they get an X amount of copies for customers that didn't pre-order and the the other amount depends on the reserved #. If the game gets sold out, they go to the pre-ordered copies and sell those.

I'm all for used games buy/sell/trade market but seriously fuck gamestop. You'll never catch me in one. I got release day PS4 thru amazon, fuck waiting in line mines gonna be delivered to me.
