Give it a shot mate ! I find that the american stuff is on the decline.
Eventually you will find the group(s) or MC(s) that you like.
Theres the whack or corny MCs on both sides of the pond, but there are a handful that are worth the plays.

I got a couple of UK and Canadian artists on my playlist as well.

    Cheers

A lot of the songs posted here have terrible beats....like they're not even trying.

The Scene is still very young

same can be said about any rap groups from abroad (France, England, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Swiss, Sweden, Japan, Korea, Canada etc)

I think its that they are trying to keep that old school sound while trying to incorporate their style. In other words just trying to have their own distinct style/sound

Some can argue the beats are terrible, then theres some that argue the lyrics are terrible. Not sure whats worse awful lyrics on a brilliant beat, or BARS on a terrible beat. to each his/her own

    cheers

I don't think Sweden and Japan should be on the list.

I own a bunch of Sweden and Japanese rap albums.....they make good beats like anyone....and plus they work with American producers all the time.

Maybe they're the exception, who knows

Id throw France on that list.
IAM has worked with the WU & Affiliates on numerous occasions
    L'ecole du micro d'argent is a classic !

Germany and Holland were doing pretty good.

Belgium has good producers as well. Of course they followed Frances Blueprint in some way or another

Australia and UK they are trying to find their own sound

from sweeden i like chords, saw him live at an alkaholiks concert

Hunter and Dazastahs Done DL is the probably the best oz hip hop album imo

    top three would be;
    Busindustry
    Mystical Alliance
    So Good

the albums thoro back to front. packed 90s beats and rhyming from serious to stupid.
