    Default Manual v/s Automatic

    Manual.

    Better gas mileage.

The car's life last longer vs a car with an automatic transmission.

The odds of your car being stolen is low (most people can't drive a stick shift)

The driver is in control of the vehicle.

    It enhances the driving experience.

Porsche GT has a dual transmission. Maybe in a car that didn't have 600+ horsepower.

The Carrera GT is a 6 speed manual. One of the last if not the last super car with 3 pedals. Thats the allure of it and why its considered possibly the greatest super car of them all, as it is so raw.

Anyway for a car to enjoy obviously a manual, a daily driver has to be semi-auto. I find automatic cars boring and annoying. The gearbox doesn't shift when you want it to, or it just never shifts at all. The dual clutch systems you get in new cars are ideal though, they are the most usable. Ofcourse they don't offer the same feel as a manual but overall they are better to have. Most new cars don't offer manual no more anyway.

Automatic, either because i'm lazy or because using a clutch is plain unnecessary, and presumably difficult to drive with a joint burning.

Actually, driving a manual isn't that difficult. I am driving a car that has an automatic transmission. I could, I'd swap it for a 2013 Ford Focus ST.
