I saw previews for this and it looks alright but i'm gonna wait for it to come to video. Last movie I saw Jennifer Jason Leigh in was Single White Female with Bridget Fonda. Bridget was hot back in the day. Isn't Tim Roth in the Hateful Eight? I see Michael Madsen is in it and I like him. He was good in The Getaway with Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger and James Woods.

I read the script when it was leaked so going in I already knew what was gonna happen, but QT threw some nice post-leak curveballs that eliminated the spoiler feeling for me. I thought it was an excellent movie, definitely the most "aesthetically-violent" along with kill bill and fucking awesome dialogue and character personalities.

I don't watch westerns but i'm gonna see it when it comes to video. Wasn't Denzel Washington and Spike Lee's Malcolm X 3 hours? I think it was. I haven't seen that many 3 hours movies. That's too long. I've seen a few 2 hours movies.

movies in general are, on average, about 2 hours. are you telling me you basically only watch shorts?

also, don't consider Hateful Eight a Western, and definitely not Django Unchained either. Tarantino can't do a Western for shit. Although I loved the Hateful Eight and enjoyed Django Unchained, he should ditch that obsession. That Ennio Morricone score was a great touch though.

Yes i've watched a lot of movies that are a hour and a half or a little less than that. I don't like long movies but i have seen a few of them like GoodFellas, Casino, The Departed, Once Upon A Time In America, Rain Man, Malcolm X, Glory, The Equalizer, The A Team, Do The Right Thing and Jungle Fever. Most of Spike Lee's movies are long and so is Martin Scorsese's movies.

good to see directors can still get away with long movies sometimes

the focus on the characters in the coach in the first half hour of The Hateful 8 really paid off later on as you're firmly invested in them for the rollercoaster that is Minnie's Haberdashery

I saw the film in the 70mm version. was like 20 mins longer. Good movie, very slow build up. Alot slower than his other movies. Good characters, but I feel Michael Madsen was under used. and the butt naked in the snow part was pretty hilarious he took it that far.

My favorite film from him is still Inglorious Basterds.

solid flick, thank goodness for the intermission though! haha

Great movie. The butt naked thing was like WTF? Bwahahahahahah too much.

I thought Kurt Russell stole the show with his character.

This movie made me watch Django again.

Mostly the same actors in both movies.

Also - Sons of Anarchy, "Tigs" girlfriend surprised me in the movie he did well.

apparently its a thing now that people are outraged over quentin using the term ghetto to describe the isolated world of movie composers, as opposed to musical composers like Mozart in general:

"Do you realize that Ennio Morricone, who as far as I am concerned is my favorite composer — and when I say favorite composer, I don't mean movie composer — that ghetto — I’m talking about Mozart, I’m talking about Beethoven, I’m talking about Schubert, that’s who I’m talking about."
the amount of sensitivity nowadays is amazing
