    Red face I want a new laptop but...

    no optical DVD disc drive. Seriously?! To be fairly honest, I'd like another Sony Vaio but those laptops have no disc drives either. MacBooks are nice but their too expensive and no disc drive.

    What're these companies thinking?

    Who the hell uses discs these days? I never used it in my older laptop. You can get a USB drive for 10 bucks anyway.

    Oh, and get a Lenovo Thinkpad. Those are unbreakable. You would still be using your laptop with an optical drive if you bought a Thinkpad in the first place. They're quite expensive though.

    I use the Dvd drive when I want to watch a movie or play a game. I don't really like downloading games nor movies.

    theyre thinking normal people have no reason for these drives and how to cut unneccessary costs, weight, space and free up processors etc

    You can buy an external usb dvd drive bro.
