Did I read right that you would actually have to pay to listen to this at a gallery on top if it? Like 30-50?!?

I haven't been to a museum or gallery in years, but from what I remember it doesn't cost $50 to roam around a museum?

You expect people to pay $50 to listen to a cd once and then walk away with nothing?

At least when you go watch a movie and leave with nothing it only cost about 15-20 bucks....imagine a movie costing 50 dollars.....

Wait, is this the Ringz album that has been discussed on this site for over a year, where he asked for fan inputs? And now we are not actually going to get to own the album? WTF?

Look, its an interesting concept, but at this stage Wu is a like a cult movement - they arent prevalent or really known in the mainstream, but their core fan base - us - are die hard fans and want to own this shit so we can listen to it over and over again. Music isnt like movies or art or museums, you dont 'get' an album really until you have listened to it numerous times, and in come rare cases its taken me a year or two to fully appreciate an album, so in that context i dont really think this will work.

Plus, if its in a gallery it should be free to enter. Not a fuckin hope will anyone pay money to go in and listen to an album on headfones. If there was a huge sound system, a load of booze and it started at a certain time so everyone would gather to hear the album together, then i would pay.

This things that's so annoying is all the bullshit about the modern state of art and creativity.

This is not a focused work of artists. Its a fucking fan album with acapellas purchased by a wealthy Wu-Tang fan in Morocco. They rappers on the album didn't even know what they're recording for. They just show up to Cilva's recording booth for 90 minutes, get their $5000 check and oz of weed and the dip out. Now Cilva collects the scraps and acts like he's rewriting the book on artistic expression.
