If you think Redmans Muddy Waters is greater than Darkside give your reasons, cause I Disagree. I think Redman's Dare iz a Darkside is a 100% CLassic Hip Hop album no questions asked.
Don't get me wrong - I also feel Muddy Waters is an incredible, album - but not his best and unfortunately not a hip hop classic.
I am all ears - then you have to understand my reasons - GO!

You have a good point about his first album.
I never gave it a fair listen even though I've heard it several times.
I feel like he was finding his style, like he was almost being too raw
for whatever whereas in Darkside he broke out with jokes too.
He did that on his first album too, when he did that wack beatbox in the middle of a track then comes back.
Mcthuggin - That's what I'm saying! For some reason Darkside has been on heavey repeast for the last two months for me. It's bordeline obsession,
or is obsession.
Here are my Reasons Muddy Waters is not a classic - while alot of
people who got into rap in like 2000 think it is.
- Muddy is a great album - but more polished and a bit of a commercial transition - Darkside is something out of another planet! Way ahead of it's time as far as beats, lyrics, vocab, flows, energy, fun!
However I don't consider it a complete classic like illmatic - the reasons? Pick it up - while cool was too Pop like and soft for me, Smoke Buddah would have been an iller and funkier single/video
The main Reasons are One of the first tracks uses the sample sample as Root's Sections...that On fire Joint was too Pop like with Busta, + more

Did I scare you? Yes, I said it sounds pop like. Fire sounded like
it was on the playlist next to Mase and Puff. It has this jiggy element to the beat I feel.
"3 years move along there's nothing to see here/ if I wasn't nice motherfuck I wouldn't be here!" That track alone eats up at least 5 tracks on Muddy Waters. Also the Soopaman Luva on Darkside is crack - "And I saw that trick bewitch flying on her broomstick BADAOW! Shot her down because I leave no witness..."
Expect a new Crumple album later this year Sha, buy 5 copies. I'll make more than $45 off it.

Buddah Spots is insane. All the baselines are dope. All of them.
The album is perfect from start to finish.
If you don't think so - here is the album in full - everyone take time and listen to it - but listen to it in full on speakers, loud! While your getting ready for work or school.
Redman's Dare iz a Darkside is a classic album like Nas' Illmatic - you can't compare either.
I think Nas mentions the redman tape on illmatic anyway - something like that.
It is hands down Hip Hop Perfection. I bought it when I was like 5 and it scared me, and I didn't understand it. Now that I grew up - I'm catching all this shit - Abuse Ni#$as verbally so call DYFUS - fucking DYFUS! ------Division of Youth and Family Services!!!!!!

No one came full speed on why though!

first off, there is no mention of redman on illmatic.
and secondly, the thought of a 5-year-old krumple going out & buying dare is a darkside and then being frightened by the album cover and the "american negroness" of redman's beats & rhymes is a bright ray of comedic sunshine.
