it's hard to say but a few of my absolute favorites so far

AUDESSEY & A CAT CALLED FRITZ - "Beats Per Minute"
(this is just so fucking good it's unbelivable yet i doubt most of y'all have heard it - you can stream it here, vinyl coming soon - http://beatspermin.bandcamp.com/album/beats-per-minute)

    L'ORANGE - "The Orchid Garden"
(this guys beats is just out of this world, and there's a few vocal apperances from Blu and Ken Woods too)

DE LA SOUL - "Smell The D.A.I.S.Y."
(I know this is a mixtape but it's almost 40 minutes long, and hearing De La Soul in amazing form over nothing but banging J Dilla beats is just out of this world. TURN IT UP!!!)

SHABAAM SAHDEEQ - "Keepers Of The Lost Art"
(the album Shabaam Sahdeeq fans have been waiting for since the Rawkus days. He finally got it right!! crazy production by Lewis Parker, DJ Spinna and more)

MADLIB & FREDDIE GIBBS - "Cocaine Pinata"
(Freddie Gibbs is easily one of my favorite emcees from this era, though many times he rhymes over beats i don't care at all for. with the help of Madlib he for the first time managed to deliver a full-length LP i can listen to front-to-back)

these two Kev Brown releases are THE SHIT too... one he is just the presenter of and the other the producer. check 'em out:

EARLY REED FT. J SCIENIDE - "The Dose (The MFN Files)"
(presented by Kev Brown as it was released on his Low Budget Records; it's a 7 track EP featuring J. Scienide on vocals while Early Reed handle production. check it out here - http://l0wbudgetrecords.bandcamp.com...ing-j-scienide)

KEV BROWN & MINDSONE - "Pillars EP"
(produced by Kev Brown, very chill laid-back hip-hop music, can't find a bandcamp link)

has to be the Gibbs/Madlib album for me..... did Marci Beaucoup come out this year?

don't know, nothing much has stood out. i like that smoke dza album. Isaiah Rashad thing was pretty disappointing i thought as was Oxymoron, both mediocre at best really.

    Pinata is classic already.

Oxymoron is dope too, but i guess it doesn't have that unified feel to the production. The individual songs are incredible though. Hoover Street, His and Her Fiend, Prescription, Purge especially.

Also Kid Cudi, Living Daylights, Mobb Deep, Future.
