Default Do you think the baby boomer generation really left the subsequent ones out to dry?

When you think about it, the baby boomers are the worst mfers ever

Every one 38 and below has had to learn everything in life on their own. It's a consistent thing I encounter with people in that age range. They had to figure out credit, buying a home, and other aspects of life completely independently.

I feel like the generation before the baby boomers encountered a lot of shit for the first time, and thus if they couldn't teach the baby boomers a lesson about it, THEN the boomers were left to their own devices to figure it out, but the shit they knew they taught their kids about and were serious in making sure their kids knew the ins and outs of survival.

The baby boomers ran into things like fast food, credit cards, obesity, drug addiction alone and spent the past 60 years learning their lesson

my question is why the fuck are their kids going through the same shit? No baby boomer is dealing with polio but they will, knowing what they know about fast food, get their little juice babies a bag of mcdonalds EVERY time the pass mcdonalds.

Most of us were raised in front of a TV while there parents made sure this didn't happen to them.

It's like there was this social progression based on passing down lessons from ones life that all of a sudden went dark for 60 years.

Why do baby boomers still push their kids into getting credit cards, and tell them dumb shit like going to college gets you a jwarb and that the point of life is to get a guud jawrb.

These have got the be the worst mother fuckers ever. worst mother fucker behavior isn't doing bad shit, it's knowing shits bad and continuing to do it.

One of the most greedy, hypocritical, biased, leeching generations we will ever encounter. I wan't these pieces of shit to "register".

Or not make us pay for their medicare or SSI.

Or they could just die so we could expediate cleaning up their mess.

LOL exactly! Have you noticed that the most reasonable adult in everyone's life is very consistently their grandparents? why is that?

Then if you ask the baby boomers their own parents were the worst because they tried to instill discipline and culture in them. America has just literally been coasting of a very strong push from the WWII generation. just coasting. We really don't have the mental and physical fiber to maintain anything that was build before us and we're just enjoying the ride until it all rots off.

These baby boomers were literally retarded i swear. How can ALL of you be in debt and you've never sat down and talked to your kids about debt? They all hate their job but have never talked to their kids about careers. and now all we hear about is 'SOCIALISM' (like ANYONE below 60 is scared of that word) meanwhile they're all living off the system and fake money.

It just blows my mind in retrospect how much trash kids ate as 'food'. Companies had no culture of respecting the consumer through the entire 90s because they knew the idiot adults would just take anything without learning or teaching and continue making the same mistakes over and over.

Then you have to hear about how everything in their time was the 'best ever'. Led Zepplin. the best band ever. John Kennedy. the best president ever.

The worst is when they try to give the dignity speech like 'when i was young you couldn't do that'. 100 percent positive that you guys definitely got the crack, cocaine, porno, cult, cannibalism, aid, racism, living off the government, lying for money, game poppin nigga. stfu.

Have you noticed they've all decided they love Jesus now? smdh

This is the WORST shit! They're the 'progressive generation' that's COMPLETELY unable to adapt to or learn ANYTHING outside of their comfort zone what so ever!

You talkinga bout dogecoin, i remember my music teacher telling me hip hop wasn't music. I told him that when he was a kid people were saying that the beatles wasn't music and why would he want to sound like 'them', and he responded that I was young. What a fucking tool. My sister is in industrial psychology and her job is to get companies to adapt and be receptive to the increased pace of new ideas, but she just goes to meetings and listens to old people talk about twitter and how 'I mean you can just type up something and all of a sudden you've got thousands of people reading it and sharing it with their friends'

they're no where near ready to hear anything about virtual currencies. They're barely ready to hear about instagram.

Have you noticed that people are doing internships for years without getting an actual job. It's not even expected that you'll be hired anymore. We've just conceded that an internship is something you 'have to do' because some dick weed is taking into 10 interns a year while downsizing. All these mother fuckers can do is borrow money and compete with their peers to see who have the most average life possible.

Spoiled rotten generation who grew up during the golden era andthink that is the norm. Entitled and highly greedy as they age. They paid little consequence and were the one and only generation to lose a war.

But I guess they were just products of their environment.

Honestly, yeah. Everyone in this generation is doing through exactly what the previous one went through and didn't learn a damn thing from let alone teach it.

Plus there's situations like employment and school. Not only is it harder for someone in this generation to go the route of internship to employment like the previous generation, we basically started life at 18 with all of the same issues they have at 45. it just shows a lack of growth.

Then when you do get into companies with baby boomers you have to deal with a staunch unwillingness to evolve and change, 0 job mobility (the whole 'working up the ladder thing is a lie unless you aspire to be a middle manager for life), and you're being paid in real terms significantly less than the previous generation despite them being more of them than you. At one point, as early as the 80s, a person can pay off their school loans just by working almost immediately after college. Today? lol. Universities are doubling their fees

I hear people that are a few years older than me giving me better advice than people that are my parents age.
"Go to a 2 year school for your first two years then university for your last, it's cheap" is something i should have heard from my parents, not my sister.

When you gave these niggas their first chance they were teaching about how LSD will save your life in colleges, then the go old an waged a 'woar on drugz' that implied only black people used drugs. Countless examples of them leaving the world worst off than they found it.

Let's pretend the subsequent generations aren't doing the exact same thing.

way i see it - baby boomers are cynical, sneering. This gen are more about it's cool to care for people, be sympathetic etc.

    It's like Leno v Fallon.
