The judicial saga of former Kaysville, Utah high school teacher Brianne Land Altice has been ongoing for awhile. In last week’s episode, her attorney argued that the criminal charges against Altice, 34, should be dismissed because she was victimized by a 16-year-old lothario’s aggressive mission to bang her, according to KSL. Prosecutors say the married English teacher initially resisted the teen’s overtures before eventually giving in.

In May, Kalyn Thompson, a first-year high school English teacher in rural Oklahoma, was charged with second-degree rape for some alleged shag sessions with one of her male students. Police said the 25-year-old Kellyville High School teacher gave the kid a straight ‘A’ grade after their relationship blossomed. He was flunking English just the semester before.

Anyway, eye really don't see the problem with teachers fucking their students. Big deal. Good for them. At least they're teaching them something worth knowing about.

In the US, they have double standards for a lot of things. It's considered a big deal when a male teacher bangs a female student, but not the other way around.

One of my male colleagues married his former student.

Another colleague smashed an 18-y-o on the regular - she wanted him, jogging past his house every day. Same kind of story with another colleague. So...

It's a two-way street I guess.

As a teacher myself (I teach 14 to 17-y-o) I can tell you quite a few of 'us' are confronted with stalking in our first years as a teacher. It is quite common. It happened to me too in my second year as a teacher. Some 14 y o. She followed me around throughout the year, I had the girl's father over at my place, guy was desperate. Things got really ugly. Next year she pulled the same shit with another teacher. We had her transfer schools after that.

These kids have no idea what they are tooling around with, but at that young age it's hard to blame them. They're just acting on hormones.

I wonder for how many of the teachers the prospect of this happeneing was one of the reasons for going into teaching in the first place. I mean I'm sure there are male teachers out there who have gone into the profession with the intention of hopefully getting a job at an all girls school.
