I think skampoe could top this.
It was 10am on a Tuesday in the Sutphin Boulevard and 91st Street McDonald’s located in Jamaica in New York. Andrew Hardy, 53, walked in to order some food but there was one problem: there was a kitchen knife still protruding from between his shoulder blades and blood pouring down his back. He was still on his cellphone as he walked into the restaurant.
According to investigators, witnesses saw the man fighting with several other men on a street corner. Hardy was trying to break up a mob of men hurtling glass bottles at each other a block down on the same street as the McDonald’s. Customers quickly ditched their meals in order to help the man and make sure he didn’t fall onto his back before emergency responders could arrive.
Tromaine Yancey told CBS 2 that while he was wandering around the fast food establishment, “He was on the phone, I’m pretty sure he was on the phone talking to somebody in his family or a loved one or something, he was talking to them and telling them it might be the last time he’s speaking to them.“
Hardy was taken to Jamaica Hospital in serious condition and released later that day. “I’m blessed to be alive,” he said outside his mother’s home. He also stated that he was hit from behind so he was no able to identify his attackers. Police are still looking for the men who were arguing with the victim prior to the stabbing but do know that the man who stabbed Hardy was wearing a white shirt.
