The commonwealth games are stupid. The only thing I care about is that my football team I support under 18's team is representing Australia in the rugby league which thud should at least easily make the gold medal game. I'm not sure if PNG are in the games they'd be the only team to stop them.

Nah I don't usually get in to the athletics. I like the swimming the best and weightlifting too and cycling. We used to have really good swimmers in the men's and women's back in the 90's and 2000's but now we suck, I don't hardly know who any swimmers are besides Steph Rice. I went to school with a few girls who went to the commonwealth games about 10 years ago, or maybe it was some world championship idk
I thought cricket was in the commonwealth games now but India just played England in a test so I guess not.

Not really tbh rugby league has a long way to go to prove itself. It's disappointing NZ aren't going though their players are suited best to 9's. The RLWC last year in England was great though so it's a start, if the 9's is anything close to it they will probably promote it. Depends where the next games are though if it's not a league place probably will see it miss out.
Most top rugby league countries are in the commonwealth so that helps. Only France and Italy aren't there that are big.
Yeah 7's and Rugby Union as a whole is much more popular in other countries, especially UK, but you'd be surprised at how little people care about it in Australia. People only really care when we play NZ and South Africa and I never hear about 7's.

lol that is pretty shocking. league is only really popular in the north of England over here. ive seen it a few times but never really liked it. guess its something that a person needs to get used to.
