I made this thread because I was thinking.....

Has any rapper locked the game down like Deck did in '97 on Forever? DECK HAD THE GAME WHEN THAT DROPPED AND EVERYONE KNEW IT. On a double album with mc's like Gza, Ghostface, Rae & Method Man...DECK TOOK IT. not just the album, THE GENRE.

It can happen at any point during their career.

Prodigy on HNIC

Killah Priest during The Offering. The album was beautiful but his energy at the time is what made it that way. By the time the Kamachi album dropped you could tell how much he was feeling himself. He's since mellowed down.

Everything Pharoahe Monch drops right now is miles beyond anything else. I stared to notice Monch get in this zone sometime around his verse on Tronic.

I've been a Royce fan since the early days but when Bar Exam dropped I thought he was about to go off but then there was Slaugterhouse.

I love when this happens and to me it's way better than seeing someone for example Jay Z stay consistent their entire career
