    Default Rush Hour TV series

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker's hit action-comedy film franchise Rush Hour might soon be coming to the small screen.

According to Deadline, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner has struck a deal with Warner Bros to create a new TV series based on his popular buddy-cop movie series.

Reportedly, a fourth installment of Rush Hour has been in the works but now it looks like Ratner is working with Warner's TV division to make the film into a TV show. Whether Chan and Tucker will reprise their characters for the TV version remains to be seen.

"The series will apparently stick closely to the premise established by the original film in which Chris Tucker's motormouth cop is partnered up with Jackie Chan's fish out of water policeman," states Total Film.

Scrubs and Cougar Town alumnus Bill Lawrence will co-write the new show with Blake McCormick, with the latter also on executive producer duties.

Buddy-cop series has enjoyed reasonable success on TV in the past and with the Rush Hour movie series having grossed more than $845 million worldwide, Warner Bros. will be hoping that the franchise still has significant appeal to make a success of the new show.

Warner's definitely been on the grind with the movies turned series concept as of late. I'll be interested in finding out how all of these series turn out. This one in particular I've got an iffy feeling about.

Yeah because those 2 actors are pretty unique so if they're replacing them, god knows what they'll end up with but its pretty much missing the main ingredients.

Thats assuming of course that Chan and Tucker don't take the leads. Chris Tucker apparently owes $14mil in taxes so i'm sure he could use a regular high paying gig. Jackie Chan probably could care less.

I don't wanna see this happen but if it does, Chris Tucker should be in it because he could use the money since he owes the IRS. I'll never understand why Chris stopped doing movies because when he was doing them, he did some good ones. Last movie i saw him in was Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Deniro. He definitely should've been in Friday part 2 and part 3 with Ice Cube. Ice Cube said he wants to do another Friday and he's talked to Chris about it but if it happens, i don't think Chris is gonna do it.

    Default Rush Hour TV Series

Rush Hour is an upcoming American police procedural comedy television series developed by Blake McCormick and Bill Lawrence that is based on the popular film franchise of the same name created by Ross LaManna. Similar to the films, the series follows Detective Carter, a radical LAPD detective, and Detective Lee, a by-the-book detective from Hong Kong, as they are forced into forming an unlikely partnership. CBS placed a series order on May 8, 2015.[1] The show is set to debut on March 31, 2016

Anyone else gonna be watching this series.

I'm a big fan of both Chris and Jackie, this is kind of like Rush Hour without the people that make it Rush Hour. I mean thats the main appeal of the movies, not the premise or the story.

    Saw the first episode
it seemed decent...the thing is the guy playing carter I feel is trying too hard to be chris tucker...he reminds me of a watered down version of kevin heart.

brennt ratner is a co producer on this series.
Theres elements of rush hour 1 and 2 in there.
I dont see it doing really well tho.

If Chris Tucker would've been on the tv show, it would've lasted longer hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. He's not doing nothing anyway and he could've been on the show.
