In Samoa, it was once customary for a virgin bride's hymen to be broken publicly by the village chief. Sometimes the chief was her dad.

Do you happen to know how exactly the hymen was broken? All kinds of wild images are popping up in my head right now. Bizarre indeed!

in prehistoric days, chickens had webbed feet and teeth due to the harshness of their surroundings, these were so they could hunt and feed easier, as humanity progressed and evolved and domesticated these creatures, they offcourse lost that feature as there was no need for them anymore

to cut down costs of using rocket fuel, there is something astro physicists have proposed to NASA that could change space travel forever, the plan in the near future is to create an elevator like transport that will take astronauts from earth all the way to space to a dock station in space orbit where they will venture from, right now its in theory but if done, will be the longest highest example of an elevator known to mankind

A widely held belief in India is that a jar of pickles touched by a menstruating woman will spoil.

In rural pockets of the country, many females are still made to sleep separately and eat from plates set aside especially for them during their periods.

In some villages, there where menstruating women that were confined in a small room with no lights.

"Some 10-15 women are cramped together in a small room. Food is thrown at them from the door and they are forced to eat like dogs from one plate."

A town in Russia has a riot squad comprised entirely of twins and triplets. It's believed they will have heightened team chemistry and intuition.

the term "vampire" was taken from a real mental disorder called the vampire syndrome which causes the brain to lead people into thirsting for raw flesh and blood, the very first case of this was in the 1920s (not too sure, ill have to re research the year)
