My dog was just put down, was 15 so have had it for a while, wasnt eating, was sleeping alot, couldnt walk then started spewing brown stuff. What do you think happens to dogs when its over?.Feeling pretty fuckin miserable right now because wasn't there for him before he died as he was at my dads place and he lives far away.

Keep ya head up! Still remember when I had to get my dog put to sleep, years ago now but I never forgot it. It's a fuckin nightmare but at least you know he isn't suffering any more. 15 years is a good age for a dog

I'm not sure. We like to think that dogs and cats are somewhat human but they're not. To answer your question, no one exactly knows.

Dogs and cats and other animals but dogs have shown to have conscious levels to that of a human child. So by that you would say that dogs would go to the same place that humans do right?

We don't even know what happens to humans when we die so it's hard to say. There's a lot of animals on this planet, chickens for example are almost 3:1 to humans.

Maybe different levels of consciousness take us to different realms or whatever, if that exists, and we all go through different doors based on our development. Who knows.

Death is exciting to me, much more exciting than life is.

Have been talkin to my mate about it and yeah it really is just 'hope' more then anything, hope we all go to a better place, but could also just be like before birth, nothingness.although maybe i did exist before birth and i just dont remember right now cause i'm having a human experience.
Fuckin been trying to get some sort of confirmation that my dogs gone to a better place, been trying to get it through dreams, but nothing yet...

When we die, we go where we're put.

The Dog probably touched a black monolith before it died and now has been reborn as a starpuppy.

The concept that a human animal might go to a 'better place' than a non human animal just cause they are thought to be of a 'higher' life form sounds pretty comical to me.

Ah yeah I got you now. I agree. If humans go to some place then it would make sense to me that other conscious life forms go there too.

I don't believe in any sort of afterlife, I think it's a one shot deal unfortunately. If I did though I would say animals would probably be more deserving of it anyway. We may be the cleverest species on the planet but we're also the worst by far. (In general, obviously not everyone!)
