    ^^^

    not great, not horrible. yes.

i mean all the roles/characters are built to appeal to a certain audience/portray a certain emotion...

i guess thats how it always is in the movie world but...

what im pretty much saying is we aint ever going to get the proper comic book/live action film unless its taken out of the hands of money hungry studios shiiiittt what i really dont understand is why are all the DC animated universe films so tight (for the most part)... why cant those writers write a damn live action screen play?

i have not seen a decent superhero movie since.... i dont know when. i am in the minority that i dont even think the Christopher Nolan trio of batman releases was anything better than okay, the first one being the highlight.

I'm a DC guy but even I can tell you guardians of the Galaxy was one of the illest superhero movies out there.

I blame marvel for the lackluster quality of comic book related films, their whole cinematic universe has catered to shitty feminists and weirdo limp dick millenials who want a safe space for everything so they played it safe with their films, not actually going there and hitting those pivotal spots of a story that drew REAL COMIC BOOK FANS in the first place, hence why you have the occasional talking points (it wasn't colorful enough, it wasn't funny enough, OMG batman had sex with batgirl), .or here's the best one "rotten tomatoes said it sucks so I am going to convince myself it sucks, fuck the fact that I'm my own man and have my own mind to judge for self ). All these are the talking points of weirdos who only like what's trending or ugly fat feminists angry at the world so they want to ruin everything for everyone else. Marvel tends to love to please these types and now they are directing the pressure towards DC and that's why I like zach Snyder, he sticks to his own ideas and tries to give a good representation of the universe he is interpretating, that's until the movie studios butcher his vision with edits and pandering

    hahahahahah.

this is true. i had this conversation after seeing suicide squad with a buddy who is not a comic book fan/comic book movie fan... and he read reviews for the film before we went (i didnt) and he left saying "i dont see why it got bad reviews, i enjoyed it, it was a good movie"

now of course we had our gripes and i picked it apart from a different standpoint then he did. but it still wasnt a bad movie in the slightest.

afterwards i looked into some of the talk for SS and i read that initially it was geared to be a silly funny movie but once they (whoever the company is exactly) got the script it was dark and they were upset and obviously some compromises had to be made... so that would explain all the bright ass goofy colors they were using for the trailers and whatnot.

i mean i thought DC and Warner Brothers could do it... save the comic book movie realm... but after these two releases... they aint saving it the way i intended. although i do actually like BvS and SS (because i am grateful), i have accepted i will never get a live action version of my childhood memories.

now Wonder Woman is slated next for release im pretty sure.

i give it two stars. i would have given it 1, but I was getting my dick slobbered on during the whole movie.

Saw it yesterday. Better than BVS, but far from perfect. Leto's 1 of the worst Jokers ever - completely, unnecessarily overacted + the failed make up/image (tattoos, jewelry). He's up (down?) there with Cesar Romero. 1 of the few positives was the guy who played El Diablo, stole the movie imo. Liked how they pulled off Killer Croc. Smh @ how they handled Slipknot wtf. All in all a mediocre movie experience. 3/5

^^ someone had to die to show the serious side of things... also the name suicide squad duhhhhh.

but diablos final form was pissed he looked super dope. way better than maxed out enchantress and brother.

i on the flip side welcomed Letos portrayal of the Joker, i thought it was pretty dope and was bummed out there wasnt more scenes of him.

saw it last night, I'd give it a 3/5. Not great, not bad.

I actually really liked Leto as the Joker and thought him/ Harley were one of the redeeming aspects of the movie. Otherwise too many unfunny, forced jokes (nobody in the theater ever laughed), and I thought the villains were probably the least interesting of any superhero movie I've ever seen

    I'd give it a 7.2 out of 10.

Them as individual characters and as a group worked for me.

The Joker was what I would expect from him. Leto did a good job.

The storyline and villains were not what I hoped for. I like classic villains who throw punches and stuff. No magical witchcraft stuff or humans turned blobs.

That stuff in the bar was cringeworthy and there were more of those moments but it didn't ruin the movie for me.

I hope DC realizes after this to leave that marvel cornball humor formula alone and stick to what it's good at

right. its almost like they wanted it to be the next guardians of the galaxy but its a group of anti-heros and should've been rated R and a lot grittier

yeah..absolutely no emotional connection with the villains, like shooting at a sack of potatoes
not trying to bash it too much though, it did have good pace and was enjoyable to watch, the 2 hours went by quick

I watched an early showing and it was all young kids so I guess it was the right decision for them not to make it r-rated.
