It's crazy to come on here and hear dudes claim that the police aren't a problem. I'm a 27 years old, white, from the suburbs, was raised by a cop, and have been harassed by the police multiple times. I can't imagine being black in america having to deal with racist cops who are looking to day their day out on someone.

Being honest I think it's a bit of both. Bad police officers and dudes doin things they know they shouldn't, that lead to them getting into tight situations.
But breaking the law or being into "tight situations" doesn't make it okay for a cop to just murder somebody and never even go to trial, shit or even just have the police admit what he did was wrong. Even if you're the one who is in the wrong there are very few circumstances that should result in the police shooting or beating the shit out of you.
If I stole stole from a store, or was selling weed, or was in a fight that got broken up by the police I would definitely be intimidated, but the idea of getting murdered is nowhere on my mind. Their job is to uphold the law, not drive around town like Robocop.
