Link isn't working. I think most of us heard the version with RZA and Deck, but the original version had Rae as well as U God I think. It was in one of the articles several years ago.
Link is working as far as i can see - yeah but most people have the 2.36 seconds version, this is the full 4.30 with Intro etc
If it's only RZA and Deck then that was a fan made version.
Oh it's the one on Youtube, I meant original as in the version slated for CL2.
INS went in on this....this was originally slated for CLII when RZA was the supposedly only producer for the album. Weak spot was also supposed to be on it as well. It was in the 2005 scratch magazine. I think the original that RZA was supposed to be the only producer would have been better than the actual CLII. State of Grace was going to be on there....that song gave the album so much hype back in 2005. The Scratch magazine also mentioned Rockstars and smoking barrels....secret indictment I believe ended up being black Mozart. I think We Will Rob You was also an original track for the album.
I'm the Greatest Scientifically Inclined Mind Since Einstein!!!!
^ True. Makes me wonder at times how the initial version(s) of the album sounded.
Also ghost wasn't heavily involved at the time. I think that's also what took the album a longer time to come out. INS was Rae's supposed crime partner on this one.....and looking back and listening to his verses INS was spitting flames
I'm the Greatest Scientifically Inclined Mind Since Einstein!!!!
link doesn't work bruh.
yea thanks for that. way better than the "unpredictable" final cut on 8d. Wouldve loved to hear Ugod and Rae on it. And also..Deck's verse was recycled from "Resident Patient" He just said "House Gang" where he said "Wutang" in this & the final version
Yes I do recall that.....
I'm the Greatest Scientifically Inclined Mind Since Einstein!!!!
I think besides Necklace this shits on the new one
you're right, it was supposed to be Deck and GZA as the partners... the "Secret Indictment" track became "Black Mozart" as you said, and "We Will Rock You" was mentioned under the name "Khareem Khan" as a co-prodution between RZA and Young Justice. "Weak Spot" was not mentioned in the Scratch article but in another interview with RZA in HHC (amazing article, the one where i first learned about Scotty Wotty and his importance for Wu).. he said that they have a banging track called "Weed Spot" with GZA on it, that he might save for the Wu album since it was so Wu sounding and had a lot of ill Kung Fu samples.
i think one of the beefs Rae might have had with "8 Diagrams" was the number of songs originally made for CL2 that ended up on it. even the RZA solo about Allah was supposed to be on it (can't see how that would work but RZA said this
