its either they are broke or dont want to spend the cash on a new album (that may not even go platinum).

Didn't they do an album after Left Eye died that was pretty good? I don't really remember it but they had a single around 2003 that got a fair bit of play out here

The Hound, they did do a album after Left Eye died and they used some old unreleased vocals from her. I forgot the name of the album but I think the album sold well. I want T-Boz and Chilli. They still look good.
