Do tips not exist in the hood?
Is this why there is generally such shitty service?
The better you tip, usually the better the service you will get in the future.

forgive me for being euro but what would constitute an acceptable tip? like, maybe 10% of the tab?
tipping isn't general practice here (as in it's not expected, but still welcomed). what people sometimes do here is let waitresses keep the small change, so that'd be like for example 50 cents, maybe one euro, doesn't matter how big the tab itself is. a lot of people never tip though. depends on my mood whether I tip or not

If places add the gratuity automatically, then they are racist and need to be beaten, and rightfully so

I always tip 17-20% standard. Mainly because I'm not a broke wucorp fuck.
However I think more restaurants need to follow suit and pay a base salary or hourly wage to their wait staff. That will eliminate America's controversial tipping culture and "well but" finger pointing.
If Sunny waited tables and had to serve whitey hand and foot for the evening, then didn't receive a tip... he'd be organizing Selma marches while wearing a 360 neck brace.

I was made aware of the lack of tip because I know the server and she told me.
And it's a common complaint about black customers.

Anyway, I typically leave 20%. Which is considered generous. Not because it makes me feel good but because this is the system in place.
It's a cultural thing as well. Italians tip. Probably goes back to Rome or something.
Anyways, if you can afford to spend 65 on food and drinks you can afford to at least leave a fin.

If I'm eating at a restaurant, I leave about a 10% tip.
If I'm drinking in a bar, I leave a buck for every drink served.

Euro barmaids prob make like 15 an hour so I wouldn't tip them either.
But they pay these servers like 4 bucks an hour.
Which in the long run, they make more on gratuity than they would if they bumped it up.
Plus you'd get shittier service.
