    this is a tuff one...

    might be a tie!
both droped some ill shit in the past.
but i have to say... quality over quantity.. i've never heard a whack beat from apollo... but there are some strange and in my ears whack beats from bronze out there...

apollo and bronze are beasts when it comes to soul sampling... and thats the shit i like the most...

Apollo Brown does not surprise you, it's repetitive as fuck. You could say the same thing about DJ Premier's formula, but at the same time his formula was his trademark and he stood out with his samples and drumbreaks. Apollo always has the same vocal soul chops, everytime I hear his beats the dude has the same programming with the same types of samples. Bronze at least gave a different touch to the soulmusic he sampled. Apollo's magic disappeared after Gas Mask, heard it all. The obsession people have with basic beatmakers such as 9th Wonder and Apollo Brown..

I'm a fan of both. It's producers like that I wish would Deck would use for more of his solo work. Tough call. But I go with a slight edge to Apollo Brown.

    Agreed.

I've always felt Deck needs a solo entirely produced by either Bronze Nazareth or Apollo Brown.

    Deck needs that boom bap.

On a side note, what are people's thoughts on Bronze's Thought For Food Vol 3?
