Clearly the movie takes place in the 1980s

Angel will be played by Ben Hardy

So what’s happening to dear Angel, aka Warren Worthington III, in this picture? It looks like he’s being presented to a crowd for entertainment purposes as opposed to study or prosecution. If we want to turn speculation to full blast, perhaps Angel is part of a traveling circus of some kind since Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who is also in the movie, comes from that background in the comics? Additionally, in the comics, Angel decides to turn to Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) to have his mutation undone, but is tricked into becoming Apocalypse’s henchman, Archangel. Is that where the character will be headed in Singer’s film?

The film also stars returning cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, and Nicholas Hoult plus newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, and Oscar Issac as the title antagonist, Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.

    http://www.slashfilm.com/x-men-apoca...s-mcavoy-bald/

Director Bryan Singer has been pretty generous about sharing photos from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse. We’ve already gotten to peek at new characters Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), and Jubilee (Lana Condor). Now today, we have a new look at an old favorite: Charles Xavier, finally sporting his signature bald dome. See the James McAvoy bald pic after the jump.

Singer shared the James McAvoy bald image on Instagram. In it, we see McAvoy in the process of going bald to play Professor X.

X-Men: Apocalypse Probably Adding A Mutant Who Talks To Animals

Bryan Singer has been keeping us regularly updated on the progress of his currently-filming X-Men: Apocalypse, and his latest photo from the set teases a potentially very interesting addition to the stacked line-up of mutants that are already set to appear in the movie. Check out the image below!

    My brilliant first A.D. #JoshMcLagen #Titanic #Avatar #XmenDaysofFuturePast #Xmen #XMenApocalypse masterfully puppeteers a mutant guided incoming owl. Odd, I know.

In addition to featuring a shout-out to Assistant Director Josh McLagen, this Instagram post from Bryan Singer also teases a mutant power that we actually haven't seen yet in the franchise: the ability to communicate with animals. What other conclusions could one draw from the phrase "mutant guided incoming owl?" Of course, this has us thinking about the lexicon of mutants at Bryan Singer's disposal, and while there are multiple characters in the Marvel universe who have this ability, I'm personally thinking that this is a hint that Danielle Moonstar a.k.a. Mirage a.k.a. Psyche will be making her first live-action appearance.

In the comics, Dani Moonstar is best known for her ability to create life-like illusions that she can use to fool her enemies, but one of the powers that she was born with was the ability to talk with animals. As seen in the image above she is also been known to wield a bow-and-arrow, which also just so happens to be the weapon of choice of the men featured in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse set photo from yesterday.
