    any fans around here? I've always had a thing for those quiet storm albums. such a classy band (details and nuances in that sound) and a great singer

    here's the 1984 Montreux concert



    perhaps not the best voice live but I love that timbre

    this is the kind of music I grew up on as a kid

    I'm not a fan but my mom has her album Love Is Stronger Than Pride. She also has Sade's album that has Is It A Crime and The Sweetest Taboo songs. What's the name of that album? On the album cover, she's wearing a blue shirt. Rap group The Cru sampled her Love Is Stronger Than Pride song on My Everlovin Bitch song.

    ShaDynasty, you talking about The Cru? If you are, they were good. It's sad that they disappeared after one album. They did a song on the first Violator compilation called Oooh Wee but the song sucks.
