    Default Underrated Albums

I know there has been a stack of these threads in the past but what the fuck.

I have mentioned Lethal Injection as being seriously underrated in other threads, but there are tonnes of other albums I love but were shunned by critics.

Kuruption by Kurupt is a great album in my view, not classic by any means but seriously overlooked.

    A.W.O.L. by AZ
    Big Doe Rehab by ghost

    Whats some of yours

Kurupt's Kuruption album is alright. I was gonna watch him and Dr Dre's Just Ask Yourself A Question video today from that album. I also like his Gimmewhatchagot song that he had a video for and Pete Rock was scratching on the turntable in the video. When Kurupt said I refuse to chill like ep, he should've said EPMD because I know that's what he wanted to say. His lyrics make me laugh sometimes because they don't make sense LOL. He did a song with Buckshot of Black Moon on Kuruption. I think the song is called Light Shit Up. That song is alright. His Tha Streets Is A Mutha album is good too. Those are the only albums of his I like LOL. AZ's albums suck except Doe Or Die LOL. Ice Cube's Lethal Injection wasn't good but I do like Really Doe, Ghetto Bird, Cave Bitch, Bop Gun and Down For Whatever.

i agree with "A.W.O.L." by AZ, really good LP by one of the best lyricist we got...

i would say "The Book of Shabazz" by Shabazz The Disciple is seriously underrated

"Everything is Everything" by Brand Nubian is often overlooked or mentioned as the worst Brand Nubian release, at least amongst paid critics.. in fact it has many of the best songs the group ever recorded

I don't know why rap critics would think Brand Nubian's Everything Is Everything album is their worst because they're wrong. That's their best album LOL. Lots of good songs on there and Lord Jamar did all the beats. I love the album pictures and I love Word Is Bond and Hold On videos.

The Roots - The Tipping Point

Never really understood all the hate that album gets.

Stillmatic, I know in the hip hop world it is considered a classic and rightly so. But in mainstream media the album was shitted on. I am sure rolling stone gave it 2 and a half out of 5. While the seriously overrated Blueprint is seen as A masterpiece

    American Hunger
    7GEMS
    PTSD
    A View from Masada
    The Cool
    Bulletproof Wallets
    In Stereo
    Golden Arms Redemption
    The New Danger
The Yin & Yang (some serious bangers with a few really bad tracks)

Yeah Bulletproof wallets, this has been talked about alot in here. If released as Ghost wanted it it would have been his 3rd classic in a row, but the version released is still a very good album. I prefer it over Fishscale by along way, but that is only my opinion. I know most will rate Fishscale better than BPW

Yeah^ That album is the only Wu album with a commercial radio friendly sound/club appeal. BPW is what Rae is trying to achieve with FILA, but failed miserably.

Totally agree, I think Ghost and Rza got it spot on as far as a more radio friendly or whatever album, but still keeping the wu sound and not selling out. Something Rae and lots of MC's have tried but failed to do. Fila and lex diamond are terrible albums that I can't listen to. Rae's last album is embarrassing for him and the whole wu tang

Niggaz4life is a classic album in my view and has some of Dre's best production. No one ever mentions this album. I remember having this as a kid, it was like listening to a movie. Powerful stuff.

Just to name a few tracks, some of the best tracks Dre ever produced
