New release ... not that great.
New release ... not that great.
i really wanna get down to her shit but the only thing i think shes done good was Slow Burning Lights, a hidden gem in my opinion. she did something called Lokhart and i wasnt even able to listen to it three times.
According to Discogs this album was from 2010. She just posted these tracks on YouTube:
She's got a good voice. Not sure if I'd think about listening to her out of the blue. That "Broke" track reminds me of a some song from the 90s. I was thinking The Cranberries - Zombie but I don't think that's it.
Her work with Vinnie Paz was a good complement.

hmmm. yeah ive been looking for a download for that Like Lions release for a while... no luck.
and good find on those Vinne Paz/JMT tracks never heard of those. could care less for the first one but the vibe holds strong on the Is Happiness Just A Word track.
Blur is hauntingly familiar. pretty sure the same first chord in that song Closing Time but im feeling that its an Elliot Smith riff from somewhere, strangely similar to Angeles.
i will have to get around to finding Like Lions, those tracks you posted were pretty nice. but holy shit, she is one ugly bitch in my opinion. i wish i never would have seen her face, ruins the whole aura i had of her...
at least BSBD tried to make her look half way decent, or else they just got her on a good day
You're really not feeling "Lemarchand's Box"? It's one of my favorite tracks on the album. I liked how Vinnie Paz changed up his flow on this track. A toss up between that and "Hell's Messenger". She also did two interludes on that album but I never check for them unless I listen to an album, front to back.
La Montagna Del Dio Cannibale (Interlude) (featuring Yes Alexander)
Thanks for posting this. I hadn't heard it before. I checked the first couple of releases from BSBD but stopped following them after Babygrande had them pumping out albums with artists that needed production on their roster. They didn't seem to have a set sound.

Their broad palate of musical styles is a good thing though. They would have played themselves out if they just stuck to one production style. It will probably not be too long before we hear them with a country music artist and bang out an entire project. I would not put it past them
its funny you say that, because i was browsing one of the dudes twitter and hes working on a new project (of which i started a thread about in the hip hop shop) and somebody labeled it like Cloud Country and he retweeted, meaning, i think, that he supports that statement. but what do i know?
third listen on that vinne paz track was better than the first and second. but i just feel like its too busy with the scratching, beat, violins and everything plus Yes Alexander. as much as im a fan of females singing on tracks i felt it was too busy. but ill have to check out that album if shes on the interludes might be a lot easier to listen to within that project than on its own.
youre really missing out if you havent checked Slow Burning Lights. it was released on Baby Grande and its just like that Heart Attack video. that track was supposed to be off of another project BSBD was supposed to do with her called World Wide Romance but that was like 5 years ago
She posted some tracks. Kind of hard to get into the mood for these.

Yo I disagree I dig on the first and second one. I think she might've found her balance of her mellow acoustic folk tip and her sometimes curdling pop type singing... Where you finding these at? Haha I want my hands on this Lust project
I'll have to revisit when I'm in the mood for something other then hip-hop.
I subscribe to a lot of artist's YouTube Channels and check the daily feed. Her YouTube channel has been quiet for years but she posted a lot the last couple days. Looks like mostly songs from her old album.

Looks like she has a new Album called "Kyanite" on her online store which was released on January 15, 2016:

She posted the majority of her new album up online on YouTube and Soundcloud. Haven't listened to it. Just skimmed it. Not sure I'm feeling her genre.
