Just listened to the whole thing, it's even more boring than I had anticipated. Idk if people rank it highly but...yeah.

I used to love it when it came out, got infinite play back then
then I left it alone for a few years, revisited it last year ... it hasn't aged well imo
there are some standout tracks still

I always liked Show N Prove although obviously I'm not a 5% er
tracks like Grand Prix & Femme Fatal which some consider corny I like a lot too
EDIT : I decided to give the whole thing a spin now and I gotta say it's the beats that are lacking mostly, INS himself is solid on here. the album gets off to a slow start with a meaningless intro, then the Movas & Shakers beat which I always thought was meh. 9th chamber is good although it could have benefited from an even better beat. the title track suffers from that gay ass hook by Shadii. Femme Fatale isn't all that either ... So that's an unimpressive first part of the album, hard to shake that
one more thing I want to say about this album is that the beats for me are more suited for play in the evening. it's not an album I'd play in the afternoon at all
this could have been much better with the original batch of rza beats

So disappointed in this album. It's too bad that we never got the INS debut we were supposed to get in 1996...devastating almost. I thought this was a dull album with a similar sound to Ironman. 9th chamber, longevity, lovin you are tracks I've always loved. Oh yes and there's that DOPE freestyle that plays throughout the album that no one can seem to get a full version of!!!!!!!
Its still INS best album to date. I also liked the production.
N.I.
It ain't a perfect album, but it's still a sold production. There are some dope tracks like "Friction", "Show N Prove" or "Longevity".
I used to bump it when I was 15-16. Have great memories with that
"I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth" (Rev. 3:15-16)
Longevity was dope. Friction was decent too.
U-God on Longevity
this album was definitely a dissapointment, but it has it's moments
Deck was so good on Forever, don't know if it was possible to top that performance
"The skywalker, that be leapin' over planets"
Some of the Deck's mixtapes made by weird Russian dudes and J-Love's uncontrolled inner monologue are fire though
LOL @ uncontrolled inner monologue
You guys are way too harsh on this one. The album is solid with quite a few nice joints, it is a step down from the 93-97 albums but that don't mean UC is wack. His follow up was way worse.
