Default MF DOOM's "Expektoration" is a great album...

I slept big time on this album, it's banging as hell! "Expektoration" is a live album by MF DOOM released in 2010 but recorded in 2005, DOOM has added some sound clips and samples over the live performance though and the material is presented in two suits instead of tracks.. the sound quality is amazing, DOOM's energy level is through the roof and the material is just classic upon classic upon classic. Hevily underrated!

While we're at it, use this thread to recommend or talk about other good live hip-hop albums - something that's a bit of a rarity imo

yeah that album is refreshing to hear doom with that type of energy on the mic.

speaking of live albums, hip hop wise, nothing comes to mind.

exactly, it was real good to hear DOOM rip it like that.. i saw DOOM perform a few years ago at a musical festival and it was the weakest performance i've seen. it was definitely him though.. you can watch it on YouTube if you search MF DOOM Vanguard Festival..

on live albums in hip hop there's a few out there that i know of.. BDP did it first with "Live Hardcore Worldwide", Rakim has done one called "The Archives", Cypress Hill did "Live At The Fillmore", Wu-Tang Clan has "Disciples of 36 Chambers", and there's a few others but unlike rock albums these albums fails to do anything to enhance the music
