No set number or anything. Just who are your faves?

Mine...

1. David Gilmour
2. Roy Buchanan
3. Albert Collins
4. Mark Knopfler

Those are the ones who really get my pussy wet, and have the most influence on my own playing (not so much Knopfler). Other faves are Albert King, T-Bone Walker, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Ronnie Earl (heard him for the first thyme this morning, but instantly a big fan). Still like Clapton a lot too.

Pretty obvious I'm into blues guitar. Also a big fan of John Fahey and Nick Drake for their acoustic folk guitar playing. Nick Drake moreso for his approach to writing songs on guitar than anything else.

Harry Manx for his acoustic slide playing.

I would encourage people to check out Roy Buchanan, who to me is quite possibly the greatest lead guitar player ever. Also Albert Collins who had a unique approach to playing blues lead guitar, which produced a fucking awesome sound.

This next one is an absolute fucking masterclass in lead guitar playing. This is with no pedals or effects or anything. Just an absolute genius and his telecaster. Obviously heavily improvised too. One of my favourite tracks of all thyme...

A couple of awesome Albert Collins shows...
