is it that people don't want to license out their gutterest samples?

truuuu
I can faintly hear the sample they ended up bastardizing on 'oochie wally'. What it's the abhorrence to good music from artist that are capable of making it? I know they still think they can sell records be doing what their fan base doesn't like to appease tweens that think they're old but why is it such a stretch for anyone to make music like this again?
What were you doing then that they're not doing now? Maybe it's smoking angel dust. idk
and it's not like they don't know that's good and what isn't, because they only perform their good songs on stage till this day. Nas will do 100 Illmatic concerts but won't make anything resembling illmatic.
i fucking love that Norfside remix of "Fast Life", used to play the shit out of that one.. it's actually a Salaam Remi beat which is interesting since he later became Nas main go-to-guy for beats

because everything they did during that period was.
TSA, they released a bunch of these on their most recent double album (if you weren't aware). Getting all of them in good quality was a pretty nice surprise.

Wasn't there a double album in like 2003-2004 consisting of a bunch of unreleased cuts that was also dope?
Nas, Mobb Deep and 2pac are the lords of unreleased bangers.
