Nice that it has Kirby's Adventure and Star Tropics on there.. Those are two horrendously overlooked classics that I hope this will help find a new audience.

Hoping they Release more games. I want a system that can play all of them including Snes, Sega all pre loaded and HD TV Playable.

Just Assuming The Consumer will have to build there own with a small PC build hooked up to your living room tv making them a non consumer and a thief. I think I might do it

    Edit:

Looks like no more games will be added. What you see is what you get

Will the mini-NES be able to connect to the internet?
No. The console is a standalone device, so it cannot connect to the internet or any external storage devices. The game lineup was chosen to provide a diverse mix of popular and recognizable NES games that appeal to a wide variety of players. Everyone should be able to find multiple games to enjoy.
On the same note: does Nintendo plan to sell other NES games for the mini-NES beyond the 30 it comes preloaded with?
No. The console is a standalone device, so it cannot connect to the internet or any external storage devices. The 30 games included with the system were chosen to provide a wide variety of top-quality, long-lasting game-play experiences.
Are there plans for other mini-consoles, like a mini-SNES or mini-N64?
We have nothing to announce at this time.
Just because people have been asking: safe to say it can’t play old cartridges, right? (Based on the image it looks like an NES cartridge would have around the same width as the entire console.) Does it open up at all?
The console does not use physical media and therefore the Chamber Lid does not open.

A few years back, that sega genesis they released with the pre loaded games had a slot for regular cartridges right?

Sega is taking on Nintendo’s mini NES with two new updated consoles of its own

Not to be outdone by Nintendo's reveal of the NES Classic Edition earlier this month, Sega and AtGames announced two new retro consoles this week with 80 games built in in celebration of Sonic the Hedgehog's 25th anniversary.

First up we have the Genesis Classic Game Console, a device which you've likely seen on store shelves in years past. AtGames has been at the forefront of the nostalgia-fueled retro console business for quite some time, so this is really just the 2016 edition of the Classic Game Console with a few new games included.

One of the most significant differences between AtGames' mini Genesis and Nintendo's mini NES is that the Genesis actually plays original Genesis cartridges. If you have any old Sega games lying around, you can slot them in and start playing. The Sega console also comes with two wireless controllers, but supports classic Genesis controllers as well (if you want to go really retro).

Unfortunately, the mini Genesis doesn't support HDMI output, but if you don't want to play on your TV, you can pick up the Genesis Ultimate Portable Game Player instead. This 3.2-inch handheld console features the same 80 games, but also has an SD card slot in case you want to add more.

Both the mini Genesis and the portable Genesis will be available in October for around $65. They might not be as polished as the NES Classic Edition, but if you prefer quantity over quality, they're worth checking out.

Here is the complete list of 80 games that come built-in:

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
    Alien Storm
    Altered Beast
    Arrow Flash
    Bonanza Bros.
    Chakan: The Forever Man

Might be better to just buy old consoles. The mega drive games list is better but it's handheld fuck that. Surely Jurassic Park should've made it on there

Oh haha my bad. I might get that because my local video game shop sells mega drive games. It's probably not available in Australia lol

I know that genesis/mega drive one came out in like 2012 and I still see it for sale on ebay and amazon. I guess this version just has a few different games. lol
