    HAHAHAHAHAAHA

    This is some crazy shit.

However I think this is bullshit, many reasons for the people not to believe. I certainly don't believe this is legit but another game by the government.

Some of the footage in the videos is crazy, lots of gunfire and presumed fighting between the army and police, civilians being shot, saw a tank just running over people and cars in the street like it ain't a thing. Absolute chaos.

Basically a fringe group within the army has tried to stage a coup. This isn't the military, if the Turkish military rolled onto the streets there would be hundreds of tanks and thousands of soldiers.

I believe this to be a farce, an act staged by the government to strengthen its grip on the country. They immediately blamed the Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen who resides in the US and was once the number one ally to Erdogan and the government. Now he is public enemy number one and the government perceives him and his followers as the greatest threat to Turkey instead of ISIS and the PKK. His organisation however shady is not a terrorist organisation and certainly isn't an armed one. The governments beef with them is personal and they have done everything in their power to crush them and now this is the final blow. Nobody believed they were an armed group, but now out of nowhere they have a few soldiers under their control. This is all bullshit.

If this was a military coup the first place they would go is parliament to arrest the people who run the country, to go and bomb the grotesque Presidential Palace. The first thing this lot did was close down a bridge and go to state TV.

There are no Generals in charge to of this coup, no high ranking officers. If you don't have the officers how you having F-16's take off? its not gonna happen. This started and every member of the government has gone on TV and said they are ready to die for democracy. The President will now be hailed as a hero, the man who stood strong and crushed an armed coup. His supporters have flocked to the streets, chanting 'Allah u Akbar' and the Presidents name.

Turkey is a stupid country run by morons and the people are fucking retarded. The country has fallen deeper and deeper into the clutches of Islamism. This so called coup will be crucial it will give the government massive amounts of support, they will change the constitution, they will make Erdogan executive President. They will in their own words take Turkey back to its roots and that is the Ottoman empire. The President wants to give the 3million+ Syrians in Turkey instant nationality, a move that will drastically change the demographics in the country . In the past year over 700 soldiers have been killed in fighting, their have been 17 bombings with 300 civilians dead. The government hasn't even taken responsibility, their supporters so retarded still believe the country is being torn apart by an Anglo-French alliance, the Jews and America.

^^the crowd killed 5 of those soldiers.

These soldiers are just following orders, they probably didn't even know what was going on. The mob lynched them.

Pointless and stupid. Five innocent men lost their lives for something that they were ordered to do.

So I'm pretty sure the awkward combination of hyper-nationalism, the blocking off of all legitimate civilized means of upholding the law (compromised judiciary, slewing executive, extra-judicial killings) and islamo-fascism is going to lead to a civil war. Then there's being surrounding by hostile states that would love any opening in that direction to exploit.

Basically, Turkey is surrounded by hostile countries, but excluding Russia, all of these are dwarves in comparison to Turkey. I think that Erdogan will eventually establish a full-fledged presidential system.

Also, there has been a low-intensity war in Turkey for some time now. Not because Turkey is weak (because it isn't), but because of turmoils in its neighbourhood that spilled over.

World powers will be at peace with Erdogan as long as he plays by the rules. Nobody cares for Turkey's internal issues, and Turks have a huge leverage of 2 millions refugees that can be sent to Europe in few weeks.

Even iF Erdogan was overthrown, only the Balkan muslims would feel pitty.

6,000 (!) arrests by now, including Erdogan's chief military advisor

3,000 judges got fired, about 100 of them are expected to be arrested

Erdogan's tightening his grip on the army and the politicial & judicial system. he's always been about reigning the way Putin reigns in Russia - with full presidential power. he needs a constitutional change for that to happen. looks like this (fake?) coup is handing him the means to get that change to happen
