Inspectah Deck solo tracks seem to drone on to me for some reason. I can't listen to a full album in one sitting and most of my favorite songs by him has features. I still think he's top 3 in wutang as far as lyrics and delivery.

Personally, Deck is my fav MC and main rhyme teacher!
He is def a legendary jumpoff dude for posse cuts and seems to be in his zone w Czarface but can also hold his own solo.

Are there really no solo joints u rate? What about "Hyperdermix", "Big City", "The Champion" (which has a unique Lego like connecting block rhyme structure) and pretty much everything off "Cynthia's Son"?

Well...that was, I'm pretty sure, his first ever solo track...if you want it to count being i think I recall this being credited to wu on the soundtrack 😀 but I agree with you.

I don't enjoy any of decks solo albums for the most part. Its been a while, but I think I never really felt the beats. But deck could spit his whackest verses over beats like 9th chamber, and I'd listen to solo joints all day...maybe he just doesn't like ill beats?

His czarface stuff was good. I think I remember him sounding kinda lazy on the first one, but was spitting fire on the second...not sure if you've peeped those.

Guess I have to listen to the rest of the czarface series. I.listened to the first and gave up. Only song I like from his solo work is Sound of the Slums. Maybe if he did short songs, Idk.

For me it's mainly the production that lets him down on his solo work. It's a huge shame that an albums worth of beats for Deck was lost in the floods.

The Czarface albums are great though, especially the second one which is better than the first. I know not everyone is too keen on Esoteric on here but I thought he did his thing on that second Czarface album.

We just gotta see how Rebellion/Uncontrolled Substance 2 turns out.

This is pretty ill, decks verse is decent. Another good track off EHNaV is nightcrawler...But this wouldn't be an example of decks best stuff on that album

Yo I know it's a "Deck thread" but definitely big up Eso! I love how he has these creeper line that take a while to fully appreciate eg "the flow is fire dog no dalmation". Took me a while to catch that lol.
