uh shit man - i was also on fucking jury duty this year for a child molestation case, but i sat on the jury for the trial also. it wasn't the most horrific (another court i had been in for selection had a terrible and long trial) but was still pretty harrowing. delusional.

Jeez, how long was the trial for? The one I was on the panel for was estimated to be about 6 weeks. There are 7 or 8 people accusing him, all boys aged 11-16 at the time and I think the incidents happened from the mid 1970's in to the 1980's. He was a teacher at an elite school in Sydney.

The other case I was on the panel for, I got 2 on that day, was where this guy allegedly had his younger cousin set his ex-girlfriend on fire but I couldn't do the case because I actually donated money to this fundraiser for her because she had burns to 45% of her body and needed a whole shit ton of plastic surgery, she was in hospital for 8 or 9 months IIRC. I think that would have been a really fucked case to be on.

I gotta try to get a government check because jobs don't wanna hire me. I can't help it I got a learning disability which makes it hard for me to figure things out so I can get a high paying job. I'm in Maryland. Let me get this straight. You think it's funny to laugh at me because I'm without a full time job as if that's my fault. I can't force jobs to hire me. White men own most of the jobs in America don't wanna hire black men and that's a fact. That's why so many American jobs have Hispanic men, African men, Ethiopian men and Asian men for cheap labor. I wanna work and I wish I could do high paying jobs that I've never done but I have a learning disability. That's why I applied for social security disability money recently and I gotta wait for a letter in 3 to 4 months saying what their decision is. I got a part time cleaning job that pays $9.50 a hour and that ain't shit. I'm stuck with a job that I wanna leave and I can't because nobody will hire me. I had a full time job 2 years ago that I loved and I got laid off from it because I was replaced by a contractor. I had been there almost 9 years and I wanted to retire from there. I'm stuck living with my parents and I got a old 1993 car I wanna get rid of so I can get a new car. If you think I like being in this situation, you're stupid.

Circumstances have a lot to answer for, if you live in a small bullshit ass town with only part time or seasonal work you can find yourself stuck in a hole.

It isn't as glamorous as hood living but does share some similarities.

I just clicked on this thread to see what was happening and why it had went on for so long.

I really could care less about an R&B artist but if his squeeze is legal she's legal, that's all that matters.

If I live that long I wouldn't turn down the chance for some teen guts pushing 50.

jesus - the trial i was on went for 10 days, and the biggest joke was, the bring in 14 jurors - so at the end of the trial 2 get balloted off and don't get to deliver a verdict... and i was one of those two.

jesus - the trial i was on went for 10 days, and the biggest joke was, the bring in 14 jurors - so at the end of the trial 2 get balloted off and don't get to deliver a verdict... and i was one of those two.

yeah, it's ridiculous, supposedly it's to guard against jurors becoming ill or whatever else.

the penalty for avoiding it went up to $500 in WA also, so you can defer it for 6 months, but never really get out of it.

expecting random people to sit on a jury for 30 weeks is idiotic lol.

i never even found out the verdict of the trial i was on - it wasn't really newsworthy and i was supposedly going to be informed, but it never happened.
