I know it's harder to keep up with what is and ain't good nowadays due to the nature of social media pulling us in different directions. Don't get conditioned into thinking you'll find something dope everyday. The most commercial blogs want to make you think that but really they are thinning-out the rap game with sub-par material as they post excessively in an effort to generate the most ad revenue they can. Quality over quantity wins.
sounds very interesting, never even heard about this cat and i'm a big fan of Nottz beats so i'll have to check this out.. thanks!

The first track on Kendrick's Untitled sounds like a lost RZA beat from like '96.
As for myself: I had come to the conclusion that there was nothing sacred about myself or any human being, that we were all machines, doomed to collide and collide and collide.

    ^^^^

i dont get this comment... ?.

"super chef makonen might sprinkle serotonin..."

this dude has flows. interesting and silly at times. take music for what it is shit.

also forgot about Aes' Impossible Kid i thought this was better as a whole piece of music than Skelethon.

id like to mention a personal favorite of mine this year:

    21 Savage - Savage Mode

and i think were in the hip hop section but Blood Orange - Freetown Sound was also a very good release from this year.

Shit is excactly what it is though... I know that 'god of this trap shit' thread was a joke, but that kid is honestly better than makonnen. 21 savage is another one that's simply can't rap.. I can fuck with some Future, Thugga, desiigner shit because they can flow and create melodies in their music, but a lot of these other newer knock-offs is just terrible in every single way. When the novelty wears off most of them will be instantly forgotten.

i agree, most of this music will be forgotten.

but with that being said i still like some of it. and will continue to listen to it until... i dont know when.

21 Savage is pretty hard i havent looked into to any of his other releases besides Savage Mode though

This clipping LP is quite interesting. I don't know how many times I could listen to it before deleting it and trying to permanently forget it, but its interesting.

^I love clipping. Along with young fathers they have been the most exciting thing in the hip-hop spectrum for me.

Their debut album was even better, cant wait for the new one.

Think im a little bored with traditional hip-hop at times.
